Art students at the St. Croix Educational Complex and St. Croix Central High School will be showcasing their recent artworks at an exhibit entitled, "Senior Retrospective."

Danica Art Gallery will showcase the French artist Isabelle Picard's recent artworks entitled, "It's a Beautiful World." The exhibit will open on Art Thursday, March 12.

Undercover Books will host a book signing by Gloria I. Joseph, Ph.D., from 6-8 p.m., on Friday, March 6. She will also sign her book, "On Time and In Step: Reunion on the Glory Road," at two other venues.

Contemporary art exhibits titled "Facing Locality," curated by Luis Camnitzer, will take place at two venues on St. Croix: the Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts in Frederiksted, and Walsh Metal Works Gallery in Christiansted.

Dockside Bookshop will host St. Croix author Anne Thurland, who has published her first book "Jens Larsen Photo Collection, St. Croix, 1935-1937."

Arnold Highfield will read and discuss poems from his newly released book, "Under a Taino Moon," on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Undercover Books & Gifts in Gallows Bay.

Crucian artist Danica David, owner of Danica Art Gallery, will be showcasing her recent artworks, "Island Moments." beginning on Art Thursday, Feb. 19.

The Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts exhibits works by Preston Doane, whose unique body of paintings and drawings relate to the 1840s Danish sugar industry and its ties with the West African slave trade.

The Virgin Islands Humanities Council presents poets, oral interpreters, spoken word artists, storytellers, dramatists and authors to perform their original work or exhibit their books at "An Evening With Virgin Islands Voices: A Spoken Word and Literary Festival."

St. Croix-based LaVaughn Belle exhibits Hideaway, a group of pencil and paper cutout pieces, with an opening reception to be held on Feb. 19.
