CENTENNIAL TRANSFER DAY Transfer Day is a holiday celebrated in the U.S. Virgin Islands on March 31. It marks the transfer of the islands from Denmark to the United States of America that took place in 1917.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will hold a special naturalization ceremony to celebrate Transfer Day. Attendees will witness 100 new citizens take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States.
