Counseling Association Conference Set

The American Counseling Association of the Virgin Islands (ACAVI) will hold its 37th Annual Professional Development Conference for helping professionals.  The theme of the conference is “Vicarious Trauma: Best Practices for Self-Care Before, During and After Traumatic Events.” The keynote speaker will be Dr. Elithet Silva-Martínez, an assistant professor at the University of Puerto Rico’s Beatriz Lassalle Social Work Graduate School, Rio Piedras Campus. Registration will take place from 7:30 – 8 a.m. There is no cost for the conference and CEUs will be available for $30. There will be an additional $10 charge for onsite registration.
