Here’s what’s on tap at the V.I. Legislature this week.
On Thursday, April 25, the St. Thomas community was enjoying J'Ouvert when the celebration was shattered by gunshots which injured three people. Public safety officials immediately canceled the remainder of J'Ouvert.
Frankly, you have the audacity to blame Governor John DeJongh for the massive layoffs that are now in play.
Here is one aspect that clearly defines our not so jovial and good tidings attitude for the New Year 2012.
It was your lack of swiftness in meeting very critical deadlines to avoid the massive layoffs.
You, however, did not generate enough revenue to prevent the influx of the impending layoffs.
Out of the $6.9 million dollars that went array, you need to place full page ads in both the Virgin Islands Daily News and The Saint Thomas Source.
I implore that you courageously dig deep within your hearts and apologize to Governor John DeJongh because ,at least, you admit that you were wrong.
Senators, first and foremost, need to march directly to your nearest psychiatrist or psychologist to have your heads examined.
Proverbially, Senators!!
You have been out to sea on your own boat far too long in treacherous waters.
You've managed to discharge a loaded gun and shot yourselves in the foot that richoted and left a gapping hole in hull of the boat.
Thereby, sinking your own boat.
So, how long are you able to tread water in treacherous conditions? Don't worry; You've drowned before the upcoming election. There will be no life preserver cast out to you. There will be no one to save you. Simply, you've drowned because of three reasons:
First, you took the easy out and placed the blame on Governor John DeJongh . Second, you don't have an ounce of financial ability nor fiscal agendas nor meeting very critical deadlines responsibly. Third, to top it all off, $6.9 million dollars disappeared on your watch!!
Subsequently, at the upcoming election, your names are no longer worth the ink printed on the voting ballots.
You've managed to make the magnificent Virgin Islanders suffer hardships at your expense because you lack creativity and a vision for the future. You did not have the ability to generate enough revenue, even when, Governor John DeJongh, pointed you in the right direction. You have systemically failed each other as constituents, failed your own families and failed our dynamic community ,as a whole, who placed you in office. LESSON LEARNED!! THIS IS THE YEAR THAT THE VOTERS OF THE MAGNIFICIENT VIRGIN ISLANDS BIDS YOU!!......ADIEU
I misspelled the word "ricocheted"....
the blame is with the governor and no one else he have ran the islands in in the dirt and it is full time the senate woke up and represent the people of the virgin island and tell the governor hell no we will not borrow anymore on the backs of our people.
we need to kick him and his cloney out of office. even the very lease with AEG Bovoni is a piece of horse $$$$ he is trying to sell the islands
I think your statements about Governor John deJongh Jr. is wishy-washy...
Frankly, $6.9 million dollars flew the coop...
Misappropiated from your Senators who took the money...
No mention of that .....
Governor John deJongh Jr. gave your Senators fair warning months ago about the financial crisis and what did your Senators do at pertinent deadlines???
Well, they boxed Governor John deJongh Jr. in a corner and he had no choice but to layoff government employees because the Senators failed to act in a timely manner....
So, do a fact-finding research before you start to place the blame on the Governor John deJohngh Jr. because he comes up clean while your Senators comes up dirty....
