The V.I. Police Department on Saturday arrested 21-year-old Ameade Williams, who police said was considered armed and dangerous.
According to police, Williams was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with first-degree robbery, assault, third-degree assault, discharging or aiming a firearm, carrying or using a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and first-degree reckless endangerment.
The warrant stems from a robbery connected with a shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Glynn by basketball court, police said.
Acting Police Chief Winsbut McFarlande said he is "not letting up on these ongoing initiatives," and intend to create "a safer Community."
