Woman Charged with Burglary, Grand Larceny

Susan Ann Louth was arrested Sunday by Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Thomas and charged with burglary and grand larceny, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Police said Lauth, 49, entered into her neighbor’s apartment without permission Saturday and took a large amount of cash.

The victim left the home at about 8 p.m. Saturday and when he arrived at home at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday he found that $10,000 in cash was missing. The homeowner reviewed his surveillance video and saw Louth enter into his home at about 11 p.m. and begin to feed his dogs.

The home owner said Lauth did not have permission to enter his home or feed his dogs.

Police have not yet recovered the money.

Lauth, who is from Delaware, was placed on a $60,000 bail. She was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
