Police Investigate Estate Profit Burglary

Police are investigating a reported burglary that took place at midday Wednesday in Estate Profit.

According to the V.I. Police Department, officers were dispatched at 1 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a possible burglary. The victim and her minor son told the officers that at 11:30 a.m. that morning, three masked men entered their home, brandishing guns.

According to the woman, one of the masked men pointed what appeared to be an automatic handgun at her and said, “I’m not here to hurt you. I’m here for the money," which he said belonged to a male relative.

The victim said she told the men, “Feel free to look around,” and sat down on a chair while the suspect and his accomplices searched the home. The victim said the men, not finding any money, simply walked out of the home, leaving her and her minor son unharmed.

The case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
