Student Claims Van Rolled Over His Feet

A student of the St. Croix Educational Complex reported that a vehicle rolled over his feet while he was standing near the high school and Queen Mary Highway, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Traffic investigation officers are following up on a case, which occurred on Monday. Police were dispatched to the scene about 7:15 a.m. The vehicle involved was a Dodge Caravan traveling east. While making a turn into the campus, the vehicle ran over the student’s feet, the student told officers.

The victim was transported to the Gov. Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Medical staff at the hospital said the student has no broken bones, according to the police report.

The case remains under investigation by the Traffic Investigation Bureau.
