Domino Club in Frederiksted Robbed

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives are investigating a first degree robbery that occurred at the Domino Club in Frederiksted just before midnight Sunday.

Police Department officials in a Monday press release said the suspects carjacked a vehicle after robbing the club and shooting one victim.

According to the police report, witnesses told police a dark colored vehicle drove up to the Domino Club. About four to six males armed with weapons and wearing dark clothing and cloths covering their faces jumped out and ran into the bar. The suspects demanded that no one move.

According to police, a male victim was shot in his hip and thigh during the robbery.

As the suspects fled the Domino Club, one suspect carjacked a vehicle by threatening a female driver with his weapon and demanding that she and the female passenger get out of the vehicle. Several of the suspects got into the vehicle but the driver soon lost control of the car and crashed into a parked car.

Witnesses said the suspects abandoned that vehicle, got into another vehicle and fled the area.

This case remains under investigation. Police continue to collect evidence and interview witnesses who were in the area. There were at least five customers plus employees at the Domino Club at the time of the robbery.

Police urge anyone who has any information about this robbery to call detectives at 712-6037, 712- 6077 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
