Climate change is an important issue to the U.S. Virgin Islands and a new online survey gives residents an opportunity to share their opinions.
In recent years, the Gallop News Service, Pew Research Center and other pollsters have published polls and surveys summarizing the perceptions or U.S residents and people worldwide about climate change and global warming. These surveys have broken down public opinion by age, education and income level, and religious and political affiliation, among other demographics.
But Virgin Islanders have not been among the people surveyed in these studies.
If V.I. residents want to share their opinions about climate change, a survey can be completed at the following link.
Survey results will be posted and the data presented to V.I. government officials charged with making policy decisions that affect the USVI economy, environment and the social wellbeing of Virgin Islanders.
