Gunshots Reported near Sunny Isle

A hale of bullets from a variety of guns was fired early Sunday morning in the vicinity of Diamond Crest Plaza near Sunny Isle, the V.I. Police reported.

The police reported no indication of anyone injured as of noon Monday.

According to the police report, the 911 center received a report of shots fired at 4:26 a.m. Sunday. At the scene, police police recovered spent casings from many different caliber weapons.

Property was damaged during the incident, including vehicles, but no suspects or victims were reported.

Police asked anyone with information to phone the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-712-6024 or 712-6037, the 911 center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
