Armed Men In Red Sedan Rob Two at St. Croix Credit Union

St. Croix police are looking for three men who covered their faces with tee shirts and tried to rob Mid Island Credit Union at gunpoint Friday, but failed and instead robbed an employee and a customer of cash and phones.

According to a statement from police, the three demanded money from the credit union and asked the employees to open the safe. Employees told the suspects no money was kept at the location and they did not have a safe. The suspects forced their way into the employee area and searched for cash. At the same time one suspect hit a female employee with a gun in her head. The suspects took cash and a cell phone from the handbags of a female teller and a female customer.
The suspect then left the business and the area in a red sedan.
Deputy Police Chief Arthur Hector Sr. urged the public to tell police if you have any information on this robbery. You can call detectives at 712-6031, 712-6024, 911 or you can call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
