Innovative Working to Repair Technical Problems

Equipment trouble has caused technical difficulties on various channels on the Innovative Cable TV system, and the company is working repair and replace the troubled system.

In a news release Saturday, Innovative said it is installing a new microwave dish and transmitter. The installation process has begun and should be complete by the end of November.

CBS-TV2 also experienced technical difficulties due to defective equipment that caused intermittent outages on Thanksgiving Day. CBS-TV2 technicians began working Friday to rectify the problem and it is anticipated that service will be restored by Saturday evening, the statement said.

For cable TV or phone repairs, Innovative customers calling from landlines can dial 912. Customers using wireless phones can reach the repair center at 1-340-778-1742. Callers should be ready to provide their telephone number, statement number, address, a description of the problem and brief directions.

Innovative PowerNet customers can call 1-340-714-3700 for assistance.

Innovative customers can also report a service problem online by logging on to www.innovativevi.net, clicking on the “Contact Us” button at the top right of the home page and selecting “Repair Center” as the subject in the “Submit An Inquiry” section. Customers can also report problems by email to svcupdt1@innovativevi.net.

In its news release, Innovative Cable TV St. Croix and CBS-TV2 apologized for inconvenience the technical glitches have caused their viewing audiences.
