Brief: Hydrant Work May Slow Christiansted Traffic

Drivers in Christiansted will need to exercise extra caution starting Monday when the V.I. Water and Power Authority begins installing a dozen water hydrants in the town. Construction work will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until project completion in mid-October.

The contractor, Rotating Equipment Corporation, will begin hydrant installations on Street E in Estate Richmond. No water service interruptions are anticipated.
