Company Street Water Rehabilitation Project Continues; Some Streets to Close

As work on the St. Croix Christiansted Water Line Rehabilitation Project proceeds along Company Street, the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) notifies residents, business owners and the motoring public that the blocks from King Cross Street to Prince Street will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 29. Additionally, the block from Prince Street to Market Street will remain closed while other utility work is being performed.
Motorists are encouraged to be aware of and follow all the necessary detours that will be posted at appropriate locations near the project site. Throughout this project, WAPA will work to minimize all service interruptions for both the electrical and water customers within the affected areas.
For more information, e-mail communications@viwapa.vi or contact Irvin Peters, project engineer, at 773-2250, ext. 3108.
