Jehovah's Witnesses Gather to Commemorate Death of Jesus

April 9, 2009 – Jehovah's Witnesses will gather in their Kingdom Halls after sundown on St. Croix, Thursday, April 9, to commemorate Jesus' death.
It is marked with a simple ceremony, and all interested persons are invited to attend. Jehovah's Witnesses consider Jesus' death as the most important event in history because Jesus sacrificed his perfect human life in behalf of mankind. He did this so others can gain everlasting life.
As a Christian congregation, they show their appreciation to Christ and the Heavenly Father, Jehovah, for what they did in humanity's behalf by attending this special service called the Memorial of Christ's Death.
The following is a listing of the memorial services scheduled throughout St. Croix on Thursday evening:
Christiansted:
Place: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, No. 7 Orange Grove (behind FirstBank)
Time: Spanish service at 6:30 p.m. and English service at 7:45 p.m.
Frederiksted:
Place: Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 23C North Carlton Road
Time: Spanish service at 6:30 p.m. and English service at 7:45 p.m.
Place: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 23C North Carlton Road
Time: Sign Language service at 8 p.m.
These are free services and all interested persons are invited to attend.
