Baha'i Community Activities for November

Devotional Gatherings
Nov. 6, 2005 – Devotional gatherings to say prayers and read from the writings of many faiths are held regularly on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix. All are warmly invited to attend and participate.
On St. Thomas devotional gatherings are held at 6 p.m. every Sunday at the Bahá'í National Center, 129 Estate Contant. Call 774-1678 for additional information and directions. A Tranquillity Zone will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Zen Retreat Center in Tillett Gardens, and Devotions & a Pot Luck Brunch will take place at 10 a.m. on Sundays, Nov. 13 and 20 at Magens Bay Beach, just left of the entrance. Call 776-7024 for additional information on these gatherings.
On St. John, devotional gatherings will be held every Friday in November at 7:30 p.m. Call 776-6254 or 776-6316 for information and directions.
On St. Croix, devotional gatherings are held every Sunday at 9:30 a.m., at the home of Douglas Covey. For additional information call 773-2376.

Children's Class
Children's class, which focuses on assisting children to develop spiritual qualities and virtues, is held every Sunday from 10 a.m. until noon at Mafalie's Day Care on St. Thomas. All children ages 6 and older are welcome to attend. For additional information and to register your child, call Murielle Braure at 690-0093 or stop by the class on Sunday morning.

Holy Day: Birth of Baha'u'llah
The commemoration of the birth of the Prophet-Founder of the Bahá'í Faith, Baha'u'llah, will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 11, at the Bahá'í National Center, 129 Estate Contant. All are welcome to attend.

Memorial Service for Dr. David Ruhe
A national memorial service in honor of Dr. David Ruhe will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Bahá'í National Center, 129 Est. Contant. Dr. Ruhe is a former member of the Universal House of Justice, the supreme legislative institution that guides the affairs of the global Bahá'í community. All are welcome to attend.
