St. Croix Student Awarded Salus University Alumni Travel Grant

The Salus University Alumni Association has awarded a travel grant to student Kelley Tison to attend the Association of Vision Rehabilitation Therapists Professional Development Conference.

Tison is a graduate of St. Croix Central High School and is currently enrolled in the Blindness and Low Vision Studies program at Salus University in Elkins Park, Penn.

Funding is awarded to Salus students participating in an approved professional conference or outreach program, including health screenings and humanitarian service trips. Grants are also awarded to students participating in an academic or clinical challenge bowl.

Tison used her grant funding to attend and present a poster at the Association of Vision Rehabilitation Therapists Professional Development Conference in Birmingham, Ala.
