Education Announces Registration Requirements for School Year 2014-2015

Public School registration for school year 2014-2015 will begin on Monday, March 10, for kindergarten students only.
Registration for grades 1 –12 will begin on Tuesday, May 27, at the Division of Student Services, located in the Theodora Dunbavin Complex in La Grande Princesse (opposite the Honda Car Dealership).
***Registration: Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (No registrations on Fridays) *** For additional information, contact the office at 718-9671 or visit the Web site: http://www.vide.vi/
*** Student must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 31 to enter kindergarten***
The following documents are required at the time of registration in order to register a child.

 Official verification of the date of birth (original birth certificate or baptismal certificate)
 Proof of Court Appointed Guardianship (if child is not living with one or both natural parents)
 Social Security Card
 School Records
o Final Report Cards for students entering Grades 1 -9
o Official Transcripts for students entering Grades 10-12
 V.I. Immunization Card
 Health Clearance form from the Charles Harwood Health Clinic (blue slip); Call Charles Harwood Health Clinic (773-1311, ext. 3256) — for items needed attain the blue slip
 Photo ID (Government issued) of the parent/guardian registering student
 Proof of Residency on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands (see information below)
Homeowners – Two documents required:
1. Signed closing statement or a deed or property tax receipt and
2. A recent WAPA bill
Renters – Two documents required:
1. Lease signed by both parties and
2. A recent WAPA bill
If the lease is not available, a notarized Landlord’s Affidavit for Renters (call the Division of Student Services at 718-9671 for more information or visit the Web site) must be completed and returned with a rent receipt from the landlord plus a recent WAPA bill.
When Parent(s) and Student(s) live with a friend or family member–three documents are required:
1. Notarized Residency Affidavit (call the Division of Student Services at 718- 9671 for more information) and
2. Lease signed by both parties or signed closing statement or deed verifying the residency of the friend or family member or property tax receipt verifying the residency of the friend or family member and
3. Recent utility bill WAPA of the friend or family member
