Etla Mathida Richards, of #10-BJ Est. Calquohoun, died Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 81.
Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Friedensfield Moravian Church, Est. Glyn, with the viewing beginning at 9 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Friedensfield Moravian Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Marie Christian, Valaria Heyliger, Una Ross, Ina Ross, Eric Christian, Henry Carter, and Leander Ross; foster children, Raymond Scott and Alphonso Fry; god-children, Harolyn Lindo, Maggie Hobson, and Rochelle Samuel; nieces, Corliss Nathaniel, Rita Phillips, Doris Petersen, Gloria Ross, Denise Nurse, Anna, Augustina, Esmerilda, Sylvia, Bernice, Aganora Sobratti, Lolita Sanders, Clothilda Charles, Mersades Scotland, Sylvia, Irnia, and Joyce Christian, Maria Lang, Urlene Joseph, Cynthia Michael, Colette, Rochelle, LaVerne, Marjorie, and Alicia Ross, Sherri Simmonds, Evone and La Verne Frederiksen.
She is also survived by her nephews, Alexander Wilson Jr., Wilbur Abramson, Marvin Abramson, Oliver, Richard, and Warren Cornelius, Robert Joseph, David, Mario, and Raffie Christian, Elroy Ross, Dale Ross, Leroy Ross, Joy Ross, Owen Frederiksen, Fred, Delroy, and Jimmy; 60 great- nieces; 25 great-great nieces; 15 great-great-great nieces; 56 great nephews; 50 great-great nephews; 10 great-great-great nephews; special friends, Calduette Schrader, Paulino Glentis, Ann Jackson, Una Benjamin, Richards family, Johannes family, Laura Soto, Lydia Graham, Anna Lirido, Lisa Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Duval; Leona Smith, Evelyn Williams; and many other relatives and friends.
