Anita Luis, also known as “Mama” or “Tan Tan,” died on Aug. 13.
Anita Luis leaves to mourn and carry on her legacy her daughter, Menelva (Stine) Johnson; son, Calvin (Khaleaph) Luis; grandchildren: Loreen, Carl, Phyllis, Renae, Kema, Khaleaph and Elijah; numerous great-grandchildren; Emelda Merle and Antionette King, who she raised as her own daughters; nephew, Anibal of Santo Domingo; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
