Faustina Miranda DerWeer Spanner died on Aug. 4.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Daris DerWeer; and father, Jimmy Roder.
She is survived by her husband, Carol Spanner; daughter, Shanneka “Nikki” Spanner; sons: Edwin DerWeer Sr. and Steven DerWeer; brothers: John DerWeer and Russell “Sonny” DerWeer; sisters: Elfrenda Newton, Angelica Brown and Gladys Rembert; and grandchildren: Shanice DerWeer, Abigail DerWeer, Edwin DerWeer Jr., Edessa DerWeer, Kalije DerWeer, Amadius DerWeer, Kalijah Belardo DerWeer, Jahray Heilliger, Shaddai Spanner Griffin, Sasha Sinanan and Gabriella Sinanan.
She is also survived by nieces: Agnes Newton, Miranda Newton, Jeanie Newton and Carina Spanner; nephews: Oneil, Russell, Glen and Clyde Newton, Oswin Newton, Vincent Brown Jr., Roy Jr. and Trever Rembert; special friends: Elfrida Bute, Rosa Hodge, Gloria Marus, Kahiem Newton, Jamal Newton, Jermaine Lynch, Akeem Newton and Rashida Newton; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that people please attend the funeral in orange, green or festive colors.
A viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel.
There will be a second viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, at City of Refugee Worship Center, Barren Spot. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
