Captain Alexis Denis Dies

 Captain Alexis Denis died on June 25.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison Snack; aunt, Marcella Denis; uncle, Bernard Denis; father-in-law, Joseph Mitchel; sister-in-law, Babara Mitchel; brother-in-law, Anthony Mitchel; and cousin, Bertile Denis.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Denis; second mother/aunt, Mary Denis; daughters: Pristeen Denis-Hamilton and Kimberly Didler; sons: Conrad Denis, Felix Denis and Alphonsus Denis; grandchildren: Tewanna Denis, Tiannya Denis, Felix Denis Jr., Yazmine Denis, Mojahnia Denis, Ray Hamilton Jr. and Iman Hamilton; great-grandchild, Carlito Manchado; and uncles: Alouychus Denis and Harrison Denis.
He is also survived by cousins: Agatha Louis, Patsy Denis, Tony Denys, Mary St. Aime (Sheila), Joan Denis, John Denis, Phil Louis, Shana Mitchel, Finta Felix (Gene), Mr. and Mrs Felix, and Nakisha Louis; mother-in-law, Angnita Mitchel; brothers-in-law: Gregory Mitchel and Weekes Mitchel; sisters-in-law: Andrienne Mitchel, Laura Mitchel, Magarite Clark, Angese Mitchel and Anselma Lambert; son-in-law, Ray Hamilton; and daughters-in-law: Jackline Denis and Carol Denis.
Other survivors include special friends: Elnora Finch, Robert Joseph, Charles Jameson, Celina Pierrot, Slim Pierrot, Cornelius Mitchel, Francis St. Remy, Catheline (Cathy), Mr. and Mrs. Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Acosta, Presley, Emaline Gonzague, Dale Stapleton, Francis (Lobster), Leon (Joanna), Mr. and Mrs. Laurencin, Timothy Louis, Rickie (Slu), Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, the Denis and Mitchel families, Tomba, Donald, Benny; St. Croix, St. Lucia and Hovensa Marine Department; as well as others too numerous to mention. Special thanks to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital Surgical Unit Staff.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, at St. Ann’s Church, 42 Barren Spot, Christiansted. Internment will be at Kingshill Cemetery
