Luis Enrique Benitez Jr. Dies

SSG Luis Enrique Benitez Jr. died on April 16.
He leaves to cherish his memories his father and mother: Luis and Grace Benitez; fiancé, Brittany Knick; brother, Alexei Benitez; aunts: Donna Williams, Amanda Benitez, Petronila Adams, Luz Benitez and Nelly Rivers; uncles: Eric Williams, Wilfredo Benitez (Freddy), Henson Williams, Orlando Benitez (Eto), Alec Williams (Awesome), Epifanio Benitez (Liso) and Eddy Benitez; and great-grandmother, Glady Royer.
He is also survived by grandmothers: Claron Royer and Guillermina Ayala; godmother, Florence Royer; great aunts and uncles: Rut, Mary, Agatha, Olive, Julien, Mario, Lionol and Felicidad; godson, Rozas Richardson; and cousins: Rodricka, Rebecca, Timothy, Alec, Liam, Brittany, Nevaeh, Lily, Logan, Nathan, Henson, Angela, Militza, Orlando, Mahoyan, Clit, Vanya, Tashira, Annalise, Tamina, Kathrine, Lisalionol, Alexiz, Alex, Patrick and Eddy Jr.
Other survivors include close friends: Collins, Stinnette, Steward, Michael and Maggie Dore, Michael, Jamison and Pamela Christian, Cassie Del Frate, Weber, Gilmore, Adams, Monique Weaver, Johnson, Wells, Ashford, Steve and Abraham Peguero; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, at Divine Funeral Services.
A second viewing will take place at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
