Luis Morales Dies in Florida

Luis Morales Luis Morales, age 73, of Estate Tipperary, Christiansted, passed away into the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 10, in Winter Park, Florida. Luis was born on Sept. 21, 1941, in Christiansted, St. Croix, and is predeceased by his father, Marcial “Mac” Morales, and Selma Henrietta Lovgren Morales, whose roots to St. Croix trace back to the 1700s.
He was preceded in death by his beloved siblings: Andrew “Andy” Lang, Herman Lang, Antonio “Tony” Morales, Rolando “Rolo” Morales and Julio Morales.
Luis is survived by his loving spouse, Luz “Lucy” Minerva Roman Morales, (they would have celebrated their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary in December of this year); daughters: Michele Morales Davis and her spouse, Craig Davis, Christina “Tina” Morales Araman and her spouse, Jacques Araman; son, David Morales and his spouse, Alanna Hayden Morales; and grandchildren: Chloe Sorrelle Phillips-Hayden, Sophie Marie Araman, Aaron Luis Morales, Maya Anne Araman and Xander Thomas Morales.
He is also survived by siblings: Joan Lang Pedersen, Vicente Morales and his spouse, Eve, Eloise Morales Burr and Lydia Morales Golden; brother-in-law, Louis Roman and his spouse, Liza McGivern Roman; sisters-in-law: Mavis Phaire Lang, Lucy Melendez Morales, Juanita Camacho Morales, Ivonne Roman Colon and her spouse, Humberto “Tito” Colon, Pilar Leon Roman and Lucia Larsen Morales; godson, Steven Morales; goddaughter, Carol Morales Winger; as well as nieces, nephews and relatives too numerous to mention.
Family and friends are invited to attend Luis’ Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Southgate Baptist Church, Christiansted. Private arrangements are being made by the family for interment with Military Honors at Kingshill Cemetery, St. Croix.

Professional funeral services are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
