Raymond James Dies at 74

Raymond G. James Raymond James, also known as "Masi," of Estate Barren Spot died on Sept. 18. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda James; daughters: Patrice Haynes, Coletta John and Paula Crispin; sons: Masi James, Shaka James, Dallas Michael, Daniel James (Trinidad), Curtis James (Trinidad) and Gilbert James (Trinidad); adopted son, Donald Ringham; grandchildren: Kyanna Lee James, Amir James, Malakai James, Brendan O’Neal, Josiah Francis, Tia Haynes, Adrian James, Jamelia James, Latoya Michael, Akeema Michael, Shaquille Pant and Yohance Crispin; and sisters: Beatrice James (Trinidad), Cynthia Ekpo (England) and Virginia Likairo (England).
He is also survived by brothers: Lancelot James (Trinidad) and Hillary "Baga" Prezende; nieces: Carol, Sharon and Rhonda; nephews: Ronnie, Kevin, Ecliff and Sherwin; daughters-in-law: Veronn James and Lymarie James; sons-in-law: Keith John and Jaime Crispin; brothers-in-law: Dave, George, Melvin, Ronald, Calvin, Dale, Ira Michael and Daniel Josiah; and sisters-in-law: Gwendolyn Josiah, Hyacinth Warren and Nova Thomas.
Other survivors include special friends: Nollie Carter, Hosiers family, Haynes family, Matthew family, Royer family, Helen and family, Calvin Whyte, Clement (Tortola), Cecil Benjamin, Willard John and Guardian of Culture Mocko Jumbies, Gaston family, Harbor Master family (Hotel On The Cay), Ebonites Steel Orchestra, Dynamic Steel Orchestra, Friedensfeld Moravian Church Steel Pan, Denise Lewis, Janette Cockrain, Leona Bess, Evelyn Freeman, Azibo Holder and Clayton Miller; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
Professional funeral services are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
