Gladys Williams Perkins Dies at 84

Gladys Williams Perkins of Estate Whim died on June 22 at the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center. She was 84 years old.
She was preceded in death by his mother, Eugenie O’Bryan; father, Charles Williams; and son, Mario Daniels.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin L. Perkins; daughters: Helen H. Copemann and Myrl T. Hendricks; sons: Ray Iles and Winston Todmann; stepdaughter, Jennifer Perkins Harris; stepson, Mario Perkins; stepdaughter-in-law, Ruth Perkins; stepson-in-law, Charles Harris; adopted daughter, Bernadine Christmas; adopted son, Rev. Kenneth Gaddy; grandchildren: Keema Bridgewater, Rabiah Hendricks-Foss, Kaleem and Ganja Iles, Kenya Daniels-David, K’Wanda, Ayanda, Keyanna, Malika, Mario Jr., Marcus and Indira Daniels; sisters: Rita Gordon, Rachel Claxton and Gertrude Felix; and brother, Agin Williams.
She is also survived by nieces: Risa, Josette and Cherie Gordon, Arlette Walker, Eugenie Miller and Aneda Andrews; nephews: Yusef, Jamal and Hakim Williams, and Severin Miller; sons-in-law: Dr. Olaf G. Hendricks and Dr. Chester D. Copemann; sisters-in-law: Helene Testamark and Hannan Williams; godchildren: Kevin Johnson, Ricky Hodge, Dell Bates, Anita Gibbs, Germaine Milligan and Nicole M . Christian; special friends: Pat Williams, Mary Henderson, Magdalene Aaron, Emelda Hall; Gwendolyn Lucas, Louise Samuel, Deloyce Ford, Jeanne Garcia, and members of Club 21; cousins: Sylvie Gibbs and family, and Louise O’Reilly and family; as well as many great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 30, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery. Professional funeral services are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
