Lanis Hyacinth Veronica Christian-Griffin Dies at 71

Lanis Hyacinth Veronica Christian-Griffin Lanis Hyacinth Veronica Christian-Griffin of Estate Strawberry died on April 5. She was 71 years old.
She was preceded in death by: Eric Christian (father), Claudius Arthur Griffin (husband) and Veron Weatherall (sister).
She is survived by her mother, Evelina Jarvis; daughters: Sheri Griffin-Benjamin, Tracy Haynes, Michele Griffin-Isles and Dahlia Knowles; sons: Stanley Griffin, Glenmore Griffin and Jerry Griffin; grandchildren: Sean Griffin, Glenmore Griffin Jr., Kia Griffith, Genesis Adams, Sakinah Benjamin, Tariq Henderson, Shania Benjamin, Kahlil Massicot, Destinee Wenham, Ajani Isles, Shayla Griffin, Stanley Arthur Griffin, Tahj Francis and Anisa Isles; and great-grandchildren: Lylah Griffin, Seaiem Griffin, K’sean Griffin and Elijah Brown.
She is also survived by sisters: Irose Smith, Ilma Davis, Emelda Jules and Yvonne Warner; brother, Garfield Christian; numerous nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Delia Almestica-Griffin; sons-in-law: Vere Benjamin, Andrew Isles, Shadrick Haynes and Dupert Knowles Jr.; brothers-in-law: Fitzroy Smith, Keith Davis, Philip Jules, Ralph Warner and Joseph Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Velma Christian, Lucille Liddie and Iona Lawrence-Griffin; special friends: A special thank you to all who privately assisted in her care at home, Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged, and the worldwide Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Estate Carlton, Frederiksted. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
