LaVerne King-Donadelle Dies in New York

LaVerne King-Donadelle LaVerne King-Donadelle of Tamrind Estate died in New York on Jan. 15. She was 60 years old.
She is survived by her children: Aretha Ottley-Pedro, Karise Donadelle- Pedro, Verne Donadelle and Danice Donadelle; mother, Elmira Williams-King; brothers: Dr. Rubio King, Mario King and Clarence King Sr.; sisters: Berenice King-Lambert, Ianthe King-Baptiste, Aileen King-Desborne and Norma King-Crigger; brothers-in-law: Riel Baptiste, Ashley, Cornell, Astor, Wayne and Wilton Donadelle; sisters-in-law: Mary King, Shirley King, Doretta Pitt, Norida, Rizta, Janicia, Yvette, Florencia, Alexis and Alicia Donadelle; sons-in-law: Elvis Pedro and Ezekel Pedro; and grandchildren: Destani Jones, Indiah and Lah’Che Williams, K’Myah and Kinayh Donadelle, Anique Pedro, JLin Frederick-Donadelle and Ameera Moe-Donadelle.
She is also survived by nieces: Bernice King-Campbell, Juliet King, Alvin Raymond, Beverly Gordon, Joseph Lambert, Michelle Farrington, Tiffany King, Sandra and Laura Delapaz, Debra, Roy and Denise Baptiste; godchildren: Sheku Turbe, Troy Edney, Sherri Lynch, Sedasha Harris and Linroy “Pappy” Ford Jr.; special friends: Debra Evans, Glennwood Brown, Doreen Jackson, Alicia Joseph, Brenda Bastian, Clarence Ottley II, Wilma Jerimiah, Gertrude Jones, Lydia Japal, Helen Joseph, Joan Penn, John Bell Jr., Patricia Blackman, Ester Jeffers, Sonia Joseph, Victor Plaskett Sr., Ruth Lynch, Ada Brooks, Rosita Nicholsen, Keith Donadelle Sr.; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that those in attendance wear shades of blue.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Speak the World Ministries, Peter’s Rest. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
