Rita Soodeen Dies

 

Rita Soodeen of Hannah's Rest died on May 1 at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Soodeen; daughters: Nadia Spence, Helenese Desormeaux, Alana Soodeen, Rhomatina Soodeen, Carlista Soodeen and Robin Soodeen; sons: Keith Sedeno, Terrence Desormeaux Sr., Anthony Desormeaux, Horace Desormeaux, Ralph P. Soodeen and Michael Soodeen; and grandchildren: Rhonda Sedeno, Roderick Sedeno, Krystal Desormeaux, Terrence Desormeaux Jr., Ashley Desormeaux, Matthew Hallett, Kassandra Desormeaux, Priscilla Desormeaux, Myles Desormeaux, Alexis Spence, Joshan Spence, Khalida Desormeaux, Jalessa Desormeaux, Marcus Desormeaux, Keesha Desormeaux, Jada Desormeaux, Israel Soodeen, Victor White-Soodeen, Jayden White-Soodeen and Jaylen Soodeen.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Carissa Desormeaux, Mehki Hallett, Jaleel Thomas, Kenneth Thompson Jr., Skyy Bendolph, Noah Remy and Izayah Remy; daughter-in-law, Sjirl Desormeaux; son-in-law, Edwin Spence; brother, Hollis Hobson; niece, Sherri Ann Martinez; nephew, David Hobson; sister-in-law, Marjorie Hobson: special friends: Hamilton Ramos, Kathleen Matthew and Michelle Branch; cousins and other relatives: the Degazon family, McKenzie family, Cumbermack family, Sam family, Romo family, and Victor Rojes and Cheryl Sam; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
