Deaths — St. Croix
Lisa Marie Galiber, 1960-2011

      It is with great sadness that the Galiber family announces the passing of Lisa Marie Galiber.  Lisa died in California on Monday at the age of 50.

           A native of St. Croix, Lisa was born to Dr. Andre Galiber and Edith Rose Lewis Galiber on Dec. 16, 1960. She was raised on St. Croix, graduated from St. Dunstan’s School in 1978 and later from Purdue University with honors in 1981.
           She is survived by her mother, Edith Rose Lewis Galiber; her children: Isla Rose and Che Forgeron; her ex-husband and best friend, Mark Forgeron; her siblings: Dr. Andre Galiber Jr., Dr. Angelo Galiber, Cecile deJongh, Dr. Dante Galiber and Marcel Galiber; 16 nieces and nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Funeral arrangements for Lisa Marie Galiber have been announced by her family.  On Tuesday, June 7, viewing of the body takes place at Rice Mortuary in Torrance, California, from 9 a.m.–11 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at John Fisher Church at 1 p.m.
            Some of her ashes will be interred at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California on Friday, June 10.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on St. Croix on Thursday, June 30, beginning with tributes at 10 a.m. and a mass at 11 a.m. 
Interment of her ashes will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Christiansted Cemetery.
            In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be sent to the two places where Lisa worked, helped others and sought comfort:
