Samuel George Bruce Jr. Dies at 81

Jan. 16, 2009 - Samuel George Bruce Jr. of Estate Whim died on Jan. 10. He was 81 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Karen E. Bruce; daughters: Carol Weisner and Julie Bruce; sons: Gareth and David Bruce; grandchildren: Melanie, Samuel, Adam, Jovetny, Amber and Karen Bruce, Khalia, Cydrieka and Herbert Weisner, David, Tavis, Rashaun and Kalid Bruce, and Tameka and Teneka Roebuck; and great-grandchildren: David III, David IV, Timai Proctor, Anthony Willie, Samuel and William Bruce, and Xendia Dortch. He is also survived by sister, Ruby Ritter; brother, Joseph Bruce; daughters-in-law: Robin Bruce and Karen McIntosh Bruce; son-in-law, Clarence Weisner; special friends: Leopold Gitten and family, Elaine Walker, Clarence Donawa, McIntosh, Gill and Petersen families; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 22, at Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
Professional services are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
