FREE COMPUTER, HOSPITALITY TRAINING STARTS AT UVI

May 27, 2002 – The call is out for the first training program of the new Workforce and Economic Development Institute at the University of the Virgin Islands.
As promised in the first announcement of the institute (see earlier May article in this Source section), the free training will be in computer information technology and the hospitality industry.
The training program will begin July 8 on St. Thomas and July 15 on St. Croix. A limited number of spaces are available.
For persons who are unemployed and 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and are within low to moderate income level, a call to the UVI institute at 714-7620 will obtain more information and application procedures.
