BRYAN ECONOMIC PLAN IS CHAMBER FORUM TOPIC

July 17, 2001 – The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon forum on Friday to review and discuss details of Sen. Adelbert Bryan's "Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy."
All members of the business community are invited to join the chamber board and the general membership at the meeting, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hibiscus Hotel.
"The chamber urges members and other business organizations to participate in this forum and offer their views," a chamber release states. "The senator's proposed plan makes recommendations for sustainable growth, including tourism, education reform, technology and quality of life."
Bryan is vice president of the 24th Legislature and chairs its Economic Development, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Committee. He and the committee are sponsoring a Virgin Islands Summit on Economic Development July 24 on St. Thomas and July 25 on St. Croix.
The cost of the luncheon is $15. Seating is limited and reservations are requested by Thursday. To reserve or learn more, call the chamber office at 773-1435 or fax to 773-8172.
