Over the last 13 years, Innovative Telephone’s basic rates have remained unchanged.
According to a press release issued Tuesday by the company, Innovative is constantly seeking ways to provide products, services and essential communication tools for its customers, while offering affordable service. Like every other business in the territory, it has been focused on controlling its costs as it invests in advanced technology and equipment.
However, at this time, it is essential for Innovative to bring the rates in line with the cost of providing the best telecommunications services to the customer. The company is sensitive to the current economic climate, and it will continue to offer competitive pricing and encourage customers to bundle their telephone service with other Innovative services to receive a discounted monthly rate.
On May 26, the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission approved the following rates after a thorough rate investigation. Effective Aug. 1, the rates on the following service will increase to the stated amounts.
Business service – single line: $58.55 (current rate); $64 (new rate); $5.45 (increase)
Residential service – single line: $21.65(current rate); $23 (new rate); $1.35 (increase)
