CASALS FEST TICKETS AVAILABLE BY TELEPHONE

June 2, 2001 – Tickets for the performances at Puerto Rico's 45th annual Casals Festival, which continues through June 16, may be purchased by telephone using Visa or MasterCard credit cards.
The festival opened Saturday, June 2, with a perfromance of a concert version of Boito's opera "Mefistofele" by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, San Juan Philharmonic Choir and San Juan Children's Choir. The schedule resumes Tuesday. All performances take place in the Luis A. Ferre Center for the Performing Arts (Centro de Bellas Artes) in Santurce.

Tuesday, June 5 – Moscow Soloists, Drama Hall, 8 p.m.
Wednesday, June 6 — Moscow Soloists, Drama Hall, 8 p.m.
Friday, June 8 — Yuri Bashmet and others, sextet, Drama Hall, 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 9 — Sinfonietta Cracovia, Drama Hall, 8 p.m..
Sunday, June 10 — Sinfonietta Cracovia, Drama Hall, 5 p.m.
Wednesday, June 13 — Petersen Quartet, Drama Hall, 8 p.m.
Thursday, June 14 — Bamberg Symphony, Festival Hall, 8 p.m.
Friday, June 15 — Bamberg Symphony, Festival Hall, 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 16 — Puerto Rico Symphony and San Juan Philharmonic Choir performing Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem, Festival Hall, 8 p.m.
Tickets for the June 8 and 13 performances are $30 for orchestra (ground floor) seating and $20 for those on the mezzanine. For all other performances, the prices are $40 in the orchestra section and $26 in the mezzanine. Seniors over the age of 60 are entitled to half off these prices, and children under the age of 12 accompanied by an adult are admitted free.
To order tickets by phone, call (787) 268-0657 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. At other times, a message may be left in English or Spanish for a callback.
