Felicia Rivera Dies at 26

Felicia Rivera

Felicia Rivera of Concordia, Frederiksted, transitioned died on Sunday, Jan. 21. She was 26 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Rivera Jr.; mother, Magdalyn Lawrence; father, Reynard Menders; grandmother, Melita Miller Menders; sister, Reykaela Menders; brothers: Kevin, Keanu and Reynard Menders; aunts: Idona, Vernarene and Rose Lawrence, Ester Ferris, Magdalen Joseph, Viva Hanley, Rosita Menders, Ramona Menders and Jacquline Menders; uncles: Sidney and Lenford Lawrence, Leon Thomas, Donald Francis, Tony, Rene and Shabaz Menders; mother-in-law, Ana Gomez; and father-in-law, Jose Rivera Sr.
She is also survived by aunts-in-law: Mary, Juanita and Anita Gomez; brother-in-law, Christian Gonzales; sisters-in-law: Christina Gonzales and Jordan Abrom; godparents: Greg Freeman and Lina Samuel; cousins-in-law: Angel, Jessica, Dalila and Angel Jr.; and special friends: Janella Christian, Earl Charlery, Marcos and Luis Figueroa, Principal Smith and Ms. Young, and the staff and faculty of Alexander Henderson School; Pastor Meinrad Jagrup, Minister George and the family of Church of God Hope and Deliverance Church.
Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Gesille, Bonny and Marvin Rivera, Gabriel and Gabrielle Freeman, Imani Christmas, Dante, Nova and Nyla Bannis, Masiah and Isaiah Rivera, Mahalia and Michelle Hanley, Jesica Sanchez, Ray Harris Jr., Yvonne Westerman, Ray and Roi Christian, Reynaldo Martin, Janet, Leona, Steve Jr., Hendrickson, Selina, Sidney Jr., Christa and Sydney Lawrence, Angela Vanterpool and Jacey Cummings; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Tributes will begin at 10 a.m. to be followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. Luke A.M.E. Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
