Three men who have been charged in the May 6 car jacking on the east end of St. Croix, which ended with a minor girl being raped, have had additional charged leveled against them, the V.I. Police Department reported Monday. The charge stem from a pair o burglaries that too place at about the same time.
The three suspects are 18-year-old Link Baltimore Jr.; 21-year-old Hubert Willis Lee Jr.; and 22-year-old Youan Rodriquez, the VIPD reported.
According to police, all three men were arrested and charged with third-degree burglary pursuant to a warrant by a Superior Court magistrate.
The police report said on May 5, the three men forced their way through the glass sliding door of a residence in Annaly, Frederiksted, the police report said. Once inside they vandalized the residence and removed several items from the residence before leaving in a pick-up truck belonging to the owners of the residence.
On May 6 they forced their way through the front door of Rhythm’s at Rainbow Beach in Frederiksted, removing several items including more than $4,000 in U.S. currency, the police said.
Bail was set $100,000 for each of the three suspects.
All three were already detained for previous charges in the East End Road Carjacking Rape incident that took place on May 6.
