Police Investigate Armed Robbery in Castle Coakley

The V.I. Police Department is investigating the report of an armed robbery of a card game that took place Saturday night in the Castle Coakley area.

According to the police, officers were dispatched at 10:32 p.m. to an establishment in Castle Coakley, where they met with several victims. They told police they were playing cards inside the establishment, when three armed men dressed in black came into the establishment demanding their money, jewelry and other personal items .

No one was injured in this incident, police reported.

The case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Police urged anyone with information to call the CIB at 340-778-2211 on St. Croix or 340-774-2211 on St. Thomas. Those with information can also call 911, or the anonymous tip service, CrimeStoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
