Author Tani Lamb will visit Saint Croix as part of her national book tour celebrating the release of her debut children’s book “T Sees an Island.” She will be signing copies of her book from 4-5:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, at Undercover Books and Gifts located at 5030 Anchor Way, Christiansted.
Born in McRoberts, Kentucky, Lamb knew from an early age that she wanted to travel and see the world. She developed her love for the sights and sounds of places outside the mountains of Eastern Kentucky will traveling with her grandfather, minister Willie Lamb, to various church revivals throughout the region.
“I did get to see a lot outside of Eastern Kentucky. So, just seeing all the different cities and states at a young age, I think I knew there was more out there, and I wanted to see that too.”
“Travel is a big part of my life. I’ve been to over 40 countries, and I know how it’s enhanced my life. I wanted to reach out to the little children between the ages of 5 and 9 and show them a little about travel, so they might develop an interest for it later in their life with the hope that it can enrich their life as much as it has mine.”
“T Sees an Island” is the first of many stops around the globe for Tani as told and seen through the eyes of her younger, seven-year-old self.
Tani Lamb has resided in Dallas, Texas, since 2002 where she owns a successful hair salon. For more information, visit www.tanilamb.com
