Cerita Mark, originally from Vieux-Fort, was born on Dec. 27, 1947. She left for St. Croix in the 1960s, and she died on July 19 as Cerita Bess-James.
She is survived by her children: Ivan Mark, Erwin Richards, Elroy Richards, Karen Bess, Joseph A. Bess III, Peter James Jr. and Javed James; sisters: Joyce Mark, Greta Mark and Mary Mark; brother, Kenneth Mark; grandchildren: too numerous to mention; special friend, Eluid Francis; and special mention, Theodosia Christopher.
She is loved by so many, and we want to thank those who became her bosom friends, as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at Divine Funeral Services Chapel from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3. A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 4, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
