The V.I. Department of Health’s Mental Health Division on St. Croix will host a pilot four-week course entitled “Master Minds.” It is a free course being offered to individuals 15 to 18 years old. It has been created to assist youth with their mindset and the process of taking an idea from concept to reality.
“Master Minds” is a program designed to challenge children to think about thinking, to think critically, to learn how to use their thoughts, to increase positive thinking, to handle emotions of frustration and negative self-talk, to use conflict resolution, to help them understand the creative process and to create group think-tank experiences. Participants will have the unique opportunity to work with an idea coach.
The course will assist young minds in using their creative energy and idea generation as a method of promoting positive self-esteem and innovation.
Let the DOH help expand your child’s positive thinking. Classes will begin 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, July 28.
