The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) will host the All Islands Tax Administrators’ Association’s (AITAA) 2017 Annual Conference.  The conference will take place from Monday, July 17 through Thursday, July 20, at the Renaissance Carambola Resort and Spa, on St. Croix, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the V.I. Bureau of Internal Revenue.

The association is comprised of the tax leaders from the United States territories.  This year, U.S. territory delegates expected to be in attendance include tax directors and leaders from American Samoa, Guam, the Marshall Islands, Palau and the Northern Mariana Islands.  Each year, the AITAA brings together tax leaders from across the U.S. territories, the IRS and other federal agencies to discuss current tax administration and enforcement issues.  It meets annually, hosted by each territory, through funding by the Department of Interior and support by the Internal Revenue Service.
