Government Retirees United for Fairness to Convene Hearing on Proposed Initiative

Pursuant to the Revised Organic Act, a Titling Board must convene to hear the initiative proposed by the Government Retirees for Fairness Inc. (GRUFF). The members of the Titling Board are Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes, Attorney General Claude Walker and the 32nd Legislature’s Chief Legal Counsel Yvonne Tharpes.

Fawkes has announced that the Titling Board will meet at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, regarding the initiative proposal submitted by GRUFF. The public hearing will be held via video-conferencing in the following locations in the St. Croix and St. Thomas districts:

St. Croix

Attorney General Conference Room, 6040 Castle Coakley, Design Center Building

St. Thomas

Attorney General Conference Room, GERS Building, 2nd Floor

The purpose of the public hearing is to prepare the official ballot title, the submitted question and a summary of the initiative proposal submitted by GRUFF.
