Doris Angela Francis-Edwards, 71 (Nov. 20, 1945 to May 23, 2017) peacefully passed away in her home after a long illness. She was 71 years old.
In life, she enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking delectable foods. She loved butterflies, flowers and her birthplace, St. Croix. She was interested in current events, history, social issues, home décor and more.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ishmael D. Francis; brothers: Dennis Francis and Darryl Francis; special aunt, Rebecca James; mother, Keturah James Francis; children: Adrian Michael Edwards, Andrew Alphonso Edwards III and Regina Kay Edwards-Keels; grandchildren: Mosiah Freeman Keels, Maakheru RA Edwards, Josiah Freeman Keels and Onile S. Edwards; brothers: Alfred Francis, Lano Francis and Ted Francis; sister, Josephine Francis; special friend, Lenore Finch; as well as other friends and family too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, at Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catherine’s Rest, St. Croix. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schuster’s Crematorium LLC.
