Olive E. Barnes died on April 23.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane James; and father, Isaac A. Ford Sr.
She is survived by her daughters: Janice P. Barnes, Lorna M. Barnes Todman, Olive L. Barnes Cyrus and Louella C. Barnes McCarroll; sons: Milton A. Barnes Jr. and Howard F. Barnes; 12 grandchildren; 11 great–grandchildren; and brothers: Isaac A. Ford Jr. and Sanford Ford.
She is also survived by sisters: Winifred A. Ford Hope and Evelyn Finnerup; nieces: Gwendolyn Corine Ford and Juanita Ford Greene; nephew, John Ford; goddaughters: Patricia Williams and Letitia Hurley; special friends: Gwendolyn Lucas, Ilma Elcock, Julie Morton, Corine Jones, Juanita Byam, Ruth Tull and Myrtle Richards; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:45 a.m., Friday, May 5, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
