The names of all delinquent real property tax owners were published in newspapers of general circulation in each district on Wednesday, March 29. This publication of names is deemed as notice to the taxpayer of the impending sale of the real property at public auctions, scheduled for May and June 2017, according to a press release issued by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor
Lt. Gov. Osbert E. Potter encourages all property owners, residential or commercial, who are delinquent in paying their property taxes to pay their taxes immediately or secure a payment plan right away. All delinquent properties on the list will be scheduled for auction if payment of property taxes is not received or if a payment plan is not executed within a period of 30 days from the publication date of the notice.
“This is not the list of properties to be auctioned. This is a list of property tax delinquencies. Anyone on the present list who does not make payment in full, nor set up an installment agreement will be placed on the auction list,” said Potter.
A copy of the listing is also available online at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor at www.ltg.gov.vi.
