Transfer Station, Convenience Center, Bin Sites Now Accepting Green Waste

The V.I. Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that the St. Croix Transfer Station has resumed acceptance of green waste. The authority has limited the loads to a maximum of five per day until further notice to help manage the anticipated large volume of green waste.  Residents may resume the disposal of green waste at the Peter’s Rest Convenience Center (PRCC) and bin sites in accordance with disposal requirements.

VIWMA reminds solid waste haulers and landscapers that the utilization of public collection sites, including PRCC, to dispose of green waste is prohibited and subject to penalties in accordance with Virgin Islands Code and regulations.  Additionally, businesses are required to obtain a VIWMA Solid Waste Disposal Haulers Permit to dispose of waste at St. Croix Transfer Station and Anguilla Landfill.
