Business Taxpayers Can Obtain W-2VI Forms on IRS Web Site

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is providing business taxpayers with the opportunity to order Forms W-2VI and the information returns online. The link to order the forms from the IRS is https://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Online-Ordering-for-Information-Returns-and-Employer-Returns, according to a press release issued on Tuesday by the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
The link to the IRS online ordering site can also be accessed by visiting the bureau’s Web site: www.vibir.gov. BIR has received a limited number of forms this year, so businesses are strongly urged to use the online services to receive their forms in time for the filing deadline.
BIR encourages all business taxpayers to go to the IRS Web site and request the required amount of W-2VI forms, information returns and instruction booklets. “This is the first time that the IRS has included the Virgin Islands as part of this free service, and I encourage all businesses to utilize this tool in an effort to obtain these forms. This is one way that we can ensure that you receive the forms you need in order to meet the January 31st due date,” said Director Marvin L. Pickering.
Pickering urges all business taxpayers to request the forms as early as possible. The bureau has received a limited number of Form W-2VIs this year; therefore, businesses are encouraged to use this free service available from the IRS. Questions concerning the Form W-2VI should be directed to the Federal Disclosure Office at 715-1040.
